Privacy Policy
Koe Nikki (hereinafter "the App") is designed with user privacy as the top priority.
Fully Local & Offline Operation
The App operates completely offline. No internet connection is required at all. All processing (speech recognition, AI title generation, data storage) is performed solely on your device.
Data We Collect
The App processes and stores the following data only on your device:
- Voice recording data
- Text converted from speech
- AI-generated titles
- Diary creation date and time
- Recording duration
None of this data is ever transmitted externally.
Where Data Is Stored
All of the above data is stored only on your device, specifically in a SQLite database within the app. The App does not transmit data to any external server. There is no cloud upload feature.
Network Communication
The App performs no network communication whatsoever. It works fully in airplane mode or in areas with no signal.
The App does not request the following permissions:
- Internet access
- Location access
- Contacts access
- Photos access
Sharing with Third Parties
The App never shares user data with any third party. Data never leaves your device.
The following types of data sharing do not occur:
- Providing data to advertising networks
- Sending data to analytics services
- Integration with tracking tools
- Data exchange with any other external services
Data Deletion
- Users can delete individual diary entries from the history screen within the app
- Uninstalling the app completely removes all data from the device
- Please note that deleted data cannot be recovered
About Speech Recognition
The App uses the on-device speech recognition feature built into the device (iOS SFSpeechRecognizer).
- Voice data is never sent outside the device
- Apple's speech recognition engine also uses on-device processing only
- No voice analysis is performed over the network
About AI Title Generation
- On devices running iOS 26 or later, Apple Intelligence is used to generate titles on-device
- This processing is also performed entirely on-device and nothing is sent to external servers
- On older devices, a rule-based algorithm extracts titles from the text
- Generated titles are also stored only on the device

Children's Privacy
The App has no age restrictions. Data from children under 13 is also processed and stored only on the device, just like all other data, and is never transmitted externally.
Legal Basis
The App's fully offline design ensures compliance with the following regulations:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Compliant, as no personal data is transmitted or processed externally
- Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Japan): Compliant, as all data remains on the user's device
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): Compliant, as no data is sold or shared
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will notify you in advance via an app update or on this page. For significant changes, we will also notify you within the app.
